The Herdwick Hogget Chump is a very popular cut as they can be roasted in a hot oven in under 20 mins for a very quick individual portion. The meat is from the finest part of the leg and is delicious and tender. The pack contains two portions.
Herdwick sheep are Lakelands’ native sheep breed, they eat a natural diet of fell grasses and heather. ‘Hogget’ is sheep meat from an animal between 1-2 years old and is a delicious cross between tender lamb and full flavoured mutton.
This Herdwick hogget is dry aged for 7 days to enhance the texture and flavour.
