This is a fabulous meat hamper with a selection of cuts based around a half an animal of mutton. 5-6kg weight not including box and trim

1 Rack of Herdwick or individual cutlets
6 Herdwick Loin chops
2 Mouth-watering Herdwick Shoulder joints - (Lamb Henry)
Rolled herdwick breast
5-6kg of Jointed meat without trim.

There are cuts for slow roasting, pan frying and slow cooking. Herdwick Mutton has a wonderful strong gamey flavour.

Herdwick sheep are Lakelands’ native sheep breed, they eat a natural diet of fell grasses and heather. ‘Mutton’ is sheep meat over 2 years old, this worthy meat is truly superb when reared on a grass diet, the carcass is dry aged on the bone to mature and tenderise. The meat is rich and deep in flavour.
Heritage Meats Herdwick Mutton is dry aged for 21 days to enhance the texture and flavour.
At times of high demand we may need you to ask to wait for your mutton order (upto 3 weeks waiting time so that there is time to hang the meat).
