Crafty Nectar Cider Co story began in 2013 after friends Ed & James moved from Somerset to London and were amazed at the lack of high quality ciders available in the capital.

Watching the explosion in craft beer and comparing it to the very traditional craft cider market they saw the opportunity to launch their own unique craft ciders. They founded Crafty Nectar which launched in 2015 with a mission to connect drinkers with real and unique craft ciders. It’s a cider marketplace bringing together hundreds of independent cider makers from around the country, all of them experts in crafting the good stuff. Additive free, gluten free and vegan friendly.

Crafty Nectar are now the No.1 online cider retailer in the UK and have the largest cider community in the world with over 80k followers across social media. After setting up their marketplace, the next step for Ed & James was to listen to their community of followers and they were keen to start experimenting themselves. So with some of the most talented and creative cider makers in the UK they began creating recipes. In 2018 after 6 not quite good enough recipes, they launched the start of their own range - recipe No.7, a medium 5.1% cider and months later recipe No.8 a 4% cider blended with Yorkshire triangle Rhubarb Juice.They now have three ciders in their core range, the third being No.9 Blackberry & Hibiscus Cider.

Award Winning Cider Producers: All three ciders - No.7 Apple Cider and No.8 Rhubarb Cider, have won two stars each at the 2020 Great Taste Awards. In addition, their 0.5% low alcohol cider has been featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch as part of The Ciderologists (Gabe Cook) cider feature.

In 2019 No.8 Rhubarb cider was also voted the World’s tastiest cider at the Stable cider awards - the World’s highest participated cider awards! The following year In 2020 Crafty Nectar ventured into fine cider launching Serendipity, a Somerset Keeved Cider with British Cider Champion’s Stones Cider.
